Closet Factory

This company is so not organized. I had three closets done and a mudroom. The first day they showed up at 10:00ish to start the work. The second day we waited and waited and he did not show up until 11:00am, I called the office to see when they would be arriving and the office lady had no clue. When he finally arrived he said he over slept.

The third day was a few months later and the same thing happened, he did not show up until 11:30 after I called the office and said they had to start on time! The installer told me that never told him to start early, but honestly you are a professional you start on time.

I finally got to talk to the owner/manager and he was kind of helpful and said he would be talking to the installer about showing up late.

The guy I met with to organize the design also stopped answering my messages. When the installer show up the measurements were not correct the third day and he had to go back and re-cut the boards, he left and did not show up until over TWO hours later! I had emailed the designer several days before the third install to say I was switching my hardware, he never responded and they showed up with the wrong hardware.

I also asked the installer to put down plastic in the bedroom due to the rugs, they put one strip down and then in the closet with light rug he did not put anything down and continued to walk on the rug with his shoes that he was going back and forth from outside. The rug was a mess.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY AT ALL!

I have used Closet Factory for two projects, a master bedroom custom closet and a custom wall unit in our living room. We are very pleased with both. Our designer, Jennifer Lewis, is fantastic. She is super consultative and very open to collaboration. She asks tons of questions and even measured things we wanted to store so that the shelves and drawers would accommodate everything. Very thorough! There were delays in fabricating some of the components of the wall unit (due to Covid), and the communication from their office wasn't great, but once the delays were resolved, the end result is beautiful. (I'm rating a four only because of the poor communication. The designer and the end result were both solid fives.) I would definitely use them again for any closet or organizational project. Especially Jennifer - she's excellent.

Quality people and service with a quality product. Bob, the owner, met with us and took his time to make sure the closet we designed was exactly what we needed. He offered suggestions and the design was awesome. It turned out better than we even expected. The installer, Riley, is a craftsman and took his time to make sure everything was done to perfection. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. It was money well spent and I highly recommend Bob and his company to anyone needing custom closet work.

We are very happy with the job done by Closet Factory. We had a very awkward mud room area coming in from the garage, and the designer worked with my wife to come up with a great design. The job came out great.

Worst service ever. Extremely unorganized team with no sense of customer service or responsiveness. Mistakes made throughout project. Had to stay on top of them daily and only got responses after calling again and again. Project took more than 6 months to complete. Good luck to you if you go with them. And this wasn't a cheap closet either. When you spend more than $50,000, you would expect better service, not be treated like they are doing you a favor where you have to beg them to do the work that you paid for! Save your time and money and go elsewhere.

I looked into a few different companies when I decided to turn a small bedroom into a walk in closet. Some were outrageously priced, and some failed to even return calls. I set up a time for Bob from the closet Factory in Allentown to come take a look at the space. He had an architect with him (the consult was free by the way) and they took their time really figuring out what would be the best use of space. They have tons of options available from colors, to knobs, cabinets, cubbies, drawers, etc. The room is oddly shaped with two large windows. The two of them were so nice and patient through the process. I already had full trust in them as soon as they left my house. Within a couple days I had a blueprint along with a really cool 3D diagram of the closet itself. Install went smoothly and the closet is better than imagined. I highly recommend them - great value, great people, and an outstanding product.
