For the past year, every time Tony Iannelli walked into a Chamber of Commerce mixer, people would pepper him with questions about Allentown. "Wow!" they would say, marveling at the city's downtown turnaround, anchored by a new hockey arena, Renaissance Hotel, and 11-story office tower that houses National Penn Bancshares' corporate headquarters. "What is going on in Allentown?" They're still asking that question — but the context has changed since July 2, when federal agents raided Allentown City Hall. "It used to be, 'Wow, how about downtown, isn't that something?' " said Iannelli, CEO and president of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce.
