The title "Putting heat on those denying climate change" (Star-Ledger editorial, July 27) was eye-catching, but the content was just typical global-warming echo chamber. The writer states "hard evidence continues to pile up," but not as the editorial implies. Each passing day sets a new record for the length of time (nearly 10 years) without a major hurricane strike (category 3 or higher) on the U.S. mainland. In recent years tornadoes have been at or near historic lows. Pacific island nations in aggregate are gaining dry acreage – not disappearing below rising seas. The list is endless. Global warming models have been exaggerating temperatures for decades and each year they diverge more from actual measurements.
