The combined efforts of the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry and Community Legal Services of Philadelphia have led to more than 1,300 direct care workers receiving back back totaling $745,000. Those employees lost their jobs last March, after locally based Infinite Care, Inc. was indicted for Medicaid fraud in February, which resulted in its closure. Those employees did not receive their final two weeks of pay, an issue now addressed by this settlement. The direct care workers at Infinite Care provided services to severely disabled individuals needing care in their homes.
