The Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center announced Wednesday its acquisition of a new location in Allentown. The non-profit recently purchased the 13,000 SF building at 522 W.Maple St. and plans to open its door there in 2016. “This property presents a better option for our community, the physical space is better, the cost is lower and we'll be able to open sooner,” said Adrian Shanker, Executive Director, Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center in a new release Wednesday. The center planned on redeveloping another site on W. Turner Street but faced significant environmental conditions at that site, Shanker said in the release. The new building will provide direct services the the Lehigh Valley's LGBT community including cultural, educational and health programs, according to the release. Click here to read more.
