UPPER SAUCON TOWNSHIP — The Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday night presented awards to companies and individuals during its annual Excellence in Business Awards at Saucon Valley Country Club. The awards go to those exemplifying merit in the business community, as well as their involvement in the Chamber and community, customer satisfaction and a demonstrated commitment to quality, leadership, marketing, training and development. Award winners: •George Pitsilos of Bear Creek Mountain Resort and Conference Center — Ambassador Award. •DesignPoint Inc. of Hanover Township, Northampton County — Small Business Award to a company with fewer than 25 employees. •Bennett Automotive Group — Small Business Award to a business between 26 and 100 employees. •Erin Ludwig of Lehigh Valley Health Network — Future Leader award. •Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center in Allentown — LGBT Business of the Year. •Ashley Russo of ASR Media Productions — Outstanding Woman in Business. •Dean Young, executive director of the Boys and Girls Club of Easton — African American Person of the Year. •AmericaVen LLC of Hanover Township — Northampton County Hispanic Business of the Year. Mike Gausling, a Bethlehem venture capitalist, was the guest speaker. Gausling's medical startup company became what is now known as publicly traded OraSure Technologies Inc. in south Bethlehem.
