About 1,300 Lehigh Valley business owners, leaders and executives helped to celebrate everything that makes it so great to live and work in the Greater Lehigh Valley at the 2016 Chamber Annual Meeting and Awards Show Nov. 10 at the Sands Bethlehem Event Center. Doors opened at 10 a.m. for networking and the chance to visit sponsor exhibits before the formal program. The day's presenting sponsor, Capital BlueCross, along with more than 100 other business sponsors, helped to make the annual meeting possible. A segment of the program focused on welcoming the Whitehall Chamber of Commerce to the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber, including the opportunity to meet the key players of the Whitehall Chamber. Rob Vaughn presented the WFMZ-TV 69 Business Year in Review. Lunch was provided by Panera. The Nittany Lion was on hand throughout the luncheon, as were other Lehigh Valley mascots, including Ferrous and FeFe, from the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, MeLVin from the Lehigh Valley Phantoms and Snoopy from Dorney Park. Dominique Crivellaro won the day's grand prize raffle, sponsored by Coca-Cola Bottling of the Lehigh Valley and Dorney Park. Her name was chosen at random from those pre-registered for the annual meeting and her prize included two plane tickets to Los Angeles, hotel accommodations and entrance to Knott's Berry Farm. The highlight of the afternoon were the much-anticipated awards. Coordinated Health, begun 25 years ago by Emil DiIorio, was named Business of the Year, an award recognizing an organization that demonstrates excellent business operations, displays broad interest and involvement in community affairs, shows leadership in the economic and community development of the Lehigh Valley, and brings a notable measure of pride to the Chamber and the Lehigh Valley community. Coordinated Health is a privately held, physician-owned acute care hospital network in eastern Pennsylvania and western New Jersey. Coordinated Health believes in simpler, more affordable and accessible health care. Gregg Feinberg was named Volunteer of the Year, which recognizes individuals for commitment and leadership to the Lehigh Valley and Chamber community. Since 1997, Feinberg has worked as a commercial and industrial real estate developer and is a principal in Ridgeview Limited Partners and multiple real estate partnerships. Feinberg has developed more than 3,500,000 square feet of commercial and industrial space including renovations of urban space such as the Design Center in south Bethlehem. He volunteers for organizations such as Angel Flight East, Lehigh United Soccer Club and ArtsQuest. Three Milestone Awards were given recognizing members of the chamber that have reached a significant landmark in business, a high point of superior commitment to the community. The 2016 Milestone Award recipients were: Gross McGinley — 40 years; Bennett Automotive Group — 65 years; and Lehigh Carbon Community College — 50 years.
