Like a teenager, the Lehigh Valley's primary economic development agency has gone through some awkwardness recently. After all, it just turned 17, said its recently appointed president and CEO, Don Cunningham. "With those teen years comes a lot of growing pains, hurt feelings, breakups and heartaches, machismo and scrums, right?" said Cunningham, making his first major speech in the new job Thursday morning in Hanover Township, Northampton County. "And it is normal in the lives of humans and it is also so with organizations and leaders and municipalities and government officials who all share a small sandbox and are all busy building their castles to the sky."
