Another bridge in the state has bitten the dust. Due to deteriorating I-beams, Northampton County authorities closed a steel truss bridge Wednesday that carries Hill Road over railroad tracks and the Lehigh Canal in Glendon. Less than 24 hours after barriers were erected, the state's transportation chief came to the Lehigh Valley to advocate for Gov. Tom Corbett's plan to spend an additional $1.8 billion to $2.5 billion to fix Pennsylvania's aging network of bridges and roads. Click here to read the article
