Bethlehem’s McCarthy’s Tea Room finally has its liquor license in hand and will start serving alcoholic drinks and dinner two more nights a week, starting Thursday. The restaurant, adjacent to Donegal Square on Main Street, will add dinner Thursdays and Saturdays nights in addition to its prior Friday night service, owner Neville Gardner said. Beer, hard cider and whiskey will be served during those hours, which run through 10 p.m., he said. Next year, the restaurant is planning a major renovation to build an entire new bar on the first floor, Gardner said.
