The Phillipsburg Area Chamber of Commerce has organized a scavenger hunt at town stores and restaurants in hopes of keeping holiday shopping dollars in the local economy. Shoppers must get their "passports" stamped at three of 15 participating businesses by Dec. 20, according to a news release. The chamber, at 314 S. Main St., and participants will provide the passports. The scavenger hunt gives shops and restaurants the chance to show off what they have to offer, Meg Dowd, director of Easton and Phillipsburg initiatives for the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, said in the release.
