Bethlehem Mayor Bob Donchez today showed off a rendering of a Bass Pro Shops at the former Bethlehem Steel Corp. site that he said would create 433 full-time jobs in the city. The outdoor supplies superstore is eyed for the former No. 2 Machine Shop at Steel's former flagship plant on South Side Bethlehem. Donchez said there’s no timeline on the store’s potential opening but “from all indications, they’ve made a strong commitment.” The announcement came amid Donchez’s first State of the City address.
