Bethlehem is getting an Italian festival. A small, initial festival will be held July 10, followed by a bigger Italian festival next spring. Bethlehem Councilman Bryan Callahan had proposed an Italian festival as a way to bring more people downtown after the snowy winter, which was tough for merchants. Callahan had wanted to do a big festival this year but Downtown Bethlehem Association officials told him it wouldn’t be feasible. Instead, the association will put on a small Italian festival for the last day of Tunes at Twilight, which takes place Thursday evenings in the Sun Inn Courtyard off Main Street.
