Allentown resident Freddie Velez has been unemployed for "a long time," and regularly uses services offered by Pennsylvania CareerLink of the Lehigh Valley, a state-funded agency that helps people find jobs. He spent Tuesday morning at the agency's new east Allentown location on Union Boulevard near Coca-Cola Park, filling out an application for a fork-lift driving job. "I like this place a lot better," said Velez, 58. "There are more computers and there's more space and we get a lot more help." CareerLink unveiled its new 35,000-square-foot center Tuesday. The space is just one mile from the old location, which was also on Union Boulevard. But it offers more services under one roof, in an open floor plan that is easy to navigate.
