The Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber Foundation has announced the recipients of this year’s Foundation Funding. A $2,000 grant was presented to the Emmaus Main Street partners from the Chamber Foundation to support marketing efforts in the borough. The foundation is distributing $30,000 among the 27 recipients chosen from 40 applicants. Lorie Reinert, executive director of the foundation, said this is the seventh year for the grants, which support projects on main streets and traditional surrounding neighborhoods in the Greater Lehigh Valley. Examples of winning projects included bicycles for community police in Allentown, murals on the South Side of Bethlehem adjacent to a proposed greenway, Pen Argyl’s historic district and Sitgreaves Street in Easton.
