A recently retired Bethlehem police officer has been named the new manager of the Downtown Bethlehem Association. Tim Brooks retired from the force Sunday and started Monday as the association's manager. The Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce position provides event planning and business relations efforts in Bethlehem's Center City and South Side business districts. Brooks, who most recently worked in the police's mounted unit, also served as the Downtown Bethlehem Association's community police officer, attending its weekly meetings.
