Lehigh Valley's LGBT community celebrates marriage equality at Allentown's Cedar Beach. The Lehigh Valley's first Pride in the Park event since the state's gay marriage ban was lifted in May served up marriage equality wedding cake, performances by drag queens, family activities and vendors from the wedding industry Sunday at Allentown's Cedar Beach. The pleasant weather and upbeat mood drew hundreds of visitors throughout the afternoon. "It's a variety of people from all walks of life," said John Schumann of Reading. Some attendees wore T-shirts stating "Born this Gay" and others wore shirts with rainbow fish stating "Born Gay, Chose Christ." One drag queen, in a floor-length rainbow gown and a platinum blond mohawk with rainbow tips, was accompanied by a young man in large, ornate rainbow-feathered angel wings. Proud moms led their T-shirt clad dogs and proud dads pushed little ones in strollers, stopping to play games and make crafts at the Metropolitan Community Church of the Lehigh Valley's Kids Space.
