Bethlehem was awarded $250,000 to put toward building new brick sidewalks and other amenities on a block of its historic Main Street.. The state grant, announced this week by state Sen. Lisa Boscola, will reduce the amount the city and the property owners would have to foot to install new sidewalks, curb ramps, crosswalks and other streetscape amenities in the downtown block between Market and Walnut streets. "The city has a proven track record of making sure our residents and visitors have the best resources possible," Boscola, D-Northampton, said in a statement.
