A first of its kind event was held Sunday in Bethlehem. The Lehigh Valley's first LGBT Wedding Expo was held Sunday afternoon at the ArtsQuest Center at Steel Stacks in Bethlehem. It was sponsored by the LGBT Business Council of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce. 40 different vendors were on hand, covering everything from photographers to caterers. Organizers say the event is important for the area now that same-sex marriage has been legalized in Pennsylvania. Robert Sandoval said, "It really creates a statement in the Lehigh Valley that we are a transitional city and that we are always looking to push the envelope." Sunday's event was open to all couples.
