When a gust of wind blew around Marilyn Monroe's skirt Sunday afternoon in downtown Bethlehem, it didn't swirl up fetchingly. Of course, it helped that this Marilyn walks on four legs and wasn't particularly worried about her skirt in the first place. Marilyn Monroe was just one of the costumes among the 200 dogs and owners who converged on Bethlehem for the sixth annual Doggie Day, dressed as everything from the Despicable Me minions to ballerinas and bumble bees. Cathy Hertzog of Allentown and her dog, Tinsley, captured first prize in the Pet Owner Look Alike category. Tinsley — a dogue de bordeaux (think of the French mastiff Hooch in the Tom Hank's movie "Turner & Hooch") — wore a pink skirt, bra designed to give her decolletage and a blond wig. "I couldn't decide what we were going to wear," said Hertzog, similarly adorned in a pink outfit but with her own long, blond hair. "I was looking through the web and I saw someone who had used an upside down bra to look like cleavage for their dog's costume, and that's where the idea for Marilyn came from."
