PPL Corp. is considering locations throughout the Lehigh Valley for the new corporate headquarters of its Talen Energy spinoff, a spokesman said Thursday. But following a report that Phillipsburg could be in the mix, spokesman George Lewis would not say whether the company considers Phillipsburg part of the Lehigh Valley, nor would he comment on possible sites. About 400 to 500 of Talen Energy's 3,500 employees will work at the headquarters, he said. There's no immediate timetable to make the decision, Lewis said, noting the company's lease for its current office in Allentown runs through 2018. "We really don't want to speculate on any specific sites, just that there are a number of locations under consideration. It could be anywhere in the Lehigh Valley," Lewis said.
