The Southern Lehigh Chamber of Commerce has presented Betty Lou's Pantry of Coopersburg with the 2015 Shining Star Award, according to a news release. The pantry began 30 years ago and in 2014, with the support of 12 churches, was serving 115 families, the release noted. Set up in the basement of St. James Lutheran Church's administration building, the pantry is supported by food and monetary donations from churches, people and groups.
