Allentown's Blues Brews & Barbecue festival, which for the past seven years has lured people downtown for music, food, beer and more, is back for an eighth year 1-10 p.m. Saturday, but a lot has changed.. So with a bigger and better downtown, festival organizers felt there should be a bigger festival. And there is. The festival has doubled in size, from one block to two. It will stretch on Hamilton from Ninth to Seventh streets. "The main purpose is that we have all this new development going on, the PPL Center and all the growth that's happened," says Miriam Huertas, senior vice president for Allentown Initiatives for the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, which coordinates the festival through its Hamilton District Main Street program.
