Leslie Richards, Pennsylvania's first female Secretary of the Department of Transportation, visited Mack Trucks, Allentown, Tuesday afternoon to present an update on the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation during the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce Annual Transportation Forum. Richards said it is vital PennDOT stays in tune with local businesses, such as Mack Trucks. "We want to be an active partner," she said. This past winter, Richards noted, took a heavy toll on roads statewide. The 2014-15 PennDOT budget amounted to $203 million.
