The huts are located in Historic Downtown Bethlehem, with new locations for 2021, and will be open Thursdays through Sundays starting November 11th through December 26th.

While you take a look at our unique vendors, stroll our festively decorated Downtown, and visit charming retail shops, gourmet restaurants, and historic Moravian museums. In addition to our Christmas Huts on Main – travel down to the Colonial Industrial Quarter where you will find our Christmas Cottages and additional festive activities!

Gingerbread friends will be displayed throughout the area where our Christmas Huts are located at the south end of Main Street, down the pathway leading into the Colonial Industrial Quarter. Gingerbread Friends will be on display from December 1 through December 21.

Voting will be in real-time right here on this page from 12/1 through 12/21! Make sure to share this page with friends and family!

The winner will be announced on our Heart of Bethlehem Facebook and Instagram pages.

Those wishing to keep their gingerbread friend may pick up AT WILL from December 28th through December 30th. Any friend left behind will become the property of the DBA and will be stored by the DBA for next year.

Terms & Conditions

This is a family-friendly event. The Downtown Bethlehem Association reserves the right to deny any entry that is offensive, lewd, inappropriate, or demonstrates anything controversial. Further, any Gingerbread friend that is constructed in poor taste or is deemed offensive will be disqualified. Gingerbread friends must also be constructed on the base provided. Refunds for disqualifications based on these criteria will not be issued. No blinking lights or anything with motion. Use materials that will withstand the weather, ie. wind & rain. Your Gingerbread friend must be sturdy and materials used to decorate your Gingerbread friend must be secured onto the base provided. The Downtown Bethlehem Association will not be responsible for any damaged Gingerbread friends. In the event of vandalism, we will make every attempt to assist in repairs that may be needed, and you will be notified.

Ho ho ho! Santa is coming to town, our town! From 4-7pm join your family, friends, neighbors, and strangers alike for the annual Old Fashioned Christmas on the Triangle in Emmaus, culminating in the tree lighting celebration. Many organizations across the Borough will be having activities the entire weekend.

The Cheers Drinking Trail will run from 12-5pm at various businesses in Emmaus Borough. Must be 21+ to participate. Tickets must be purchased ahead of time. More details to come.

Clash of the Carols is back! We’re accepting choirs now through November 24th. This year’s acapella choir competition has 4 Divisions- Youth, Middle School, High School, and Adult. CLICK HERE TO ENTER

Returning this December, we are hosting our 2nd holiday acapella choir competition: Clash of the Carols! The competition will take place on December 11th and December 18th, in the Colonial Industrial Quarter in Historic Downtown Bethlehem.

On December 11th, we will invite youth, middle school, high school, and adult choirs to compete. The winning choir from each division will be announced at the end of the day and will be awarded a cash prize of $200. The winners from each division will then be invited to come back on December 18th for the Finals where they will compete against each other in an ultimate “Clash of the Carols.” One choir will be named the overall winner and will be awarded a $1,000 cash prize.

The “Wild Card Save” will be available for voting here on our page, from December 13th through the 16th. One Choir from each division that did not make it through to the finals will be invited back, based on the public vote. Their performances will be posted here. The choir with the highest score from each division will earn the “Wild Card Save”.

Roads will be shut down for the celebration (700 block near Soldiers & Sailors Monument, Allentown PA 18101) starting at 9:00p.m, with festivities fireworks and a ball drop at 12:00 midnight.
