Pick up your Scarecrow Kit
STARTING WEDNESDAY AUGUST 10TH THROUGH SEPTEMBER 23RD, 2022 you will be able to purchase your kit online! You will also be able to pick your kit up through Monday Thursday 9-4PM, or Friday 9-12PM at the Bethlehem Chamber Office, 74 W. Broad ST. Bethlehem, PA 18018, SUITE 240. You will receive your Scarecrow number at this time.

Check in your Scarecrow
Drop off your Scarecrow anytime from 9/19 through 9/23, from 9AM to 4PM. If you need to drop off after hours, you may do so, just be sure your number is prominently displayed on the Scarecrow and TEXT a picture of your Scarecrow, and your assigned number to 484-280-3024. Drop off address is also at the Bethlehem Chamber Office, 74 W. Broad ST. Bethlehem, PA 18018, SUITE 240.

Contest timing
Scarecrows will be out on Main & Broad Streets beginning on 10/1 and will be live on our website for voting starting. All contestants will receive a link to vote via email to share with friends and family.

Voting
Voting will be in real time from 10/1 through 10/29. Additional votes will continue to be collected through 10/31.

Winner Announced
The winner will be announced on our Heart of Bethlehem Facebook and Heart of Bethlehem Instagram pages on November 1st!

Post-contest Pick up
Scarecrows will be available for pickup at the completion of this contest from 12PM on 10/31 through 11/1. If you wish to pick up your scarecrow, please call by 10/28 to confirm. We will provide you with the location of your scarecrow – pick up at will. We will provide you with pick-up location instructions. CALL: 484-280-3024. Any unclaimed Scarecrows will become property of The Downtown Bethlehem Association.

Terms & Conditions
This is a family friendly event. The Downtown Bethlehem Association reserves the right to deny any entry that is offensive, lewd, inappropriate, or demonstrates anything controversial. Further, any Scarecrow that is constructed in poor taste or is deemed offensive will be disqualified. All entries must use the wooden structure provided – no exceptions. Refunds for disqualifications based on this criteria will not be issued.
All Scarecrows must adhere to the style guide found in the kit, and must be designed to follow the category in which you chose. No blinking lights or anything with motion. Use materials that will withstand the weather, i.e. wind & rain. We recommend using plastic bags and newspaper to stuff your Scarecrow. Stuffed hosiery will also work to shape your Scarecrow.
Your Scarecrow must be sturdy and materials used to decorate your Scarecrow must be secured onto the base provided. The Downtown Bethlehem Association will not be responsible for any damaged Scarecrow or for any items that have been stolen. In the event of vandalism, we will make every attempt to assist in repairs that may be needed.

We are proud to present the 3rd Annual Allentown Beer Festival on Saturday, September 10th in downtown Allentown!

Join us in the 700 & 800 blocks of Hamilton Street for an afternoon of great beers, great food and fantastic music in our vibrant downtown!

Allentown Beer Fest returns with, you guessed it, more beer! This year, we're bringing 25 breweries and close to 100 beers to sample from. Live music will play all afternoon, and nearby restaurants will be selling delicious food out on the street. A number of craft vendors will be showcasing their wares during the event – all can stop by to browse and shop!

When: Saturday, September 10th
Time: 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Where: 700 & 800 Blocks of Hamilton Street

Cost: $35 online, $40 at door - $25 Early-Bird rate until June 30th.

This is a ticketed event for those 21 years of age and over. Your ticket comes with a 3.5 oz. tasting glass. Try as many beer samples as you like (safely!) during the hours of the event. If you would like to attend the Allentown Beer Fest to enjoy the music and food, you do not need to purchase a ticket, however you will not be able to sample any of the beers without one!

PARKING INFORMATION: Parking is available in and around Downtown Allentown, PA. We suggest parking in the garage located at 6th Street and Walnut Street which is closest to the event, but any of the decks are convenient - for just $1 per hour with the first 30 minutes free! Farewell Summer Festival 2022 will feature craft vendors, live music by Alias, food from Bananarama and Ridge Runner BBQ as well as local eateries like Armetta's & David's Italian. During the duration of the event from 11a-3p, families can get FREE balloon animals and toys from the event's balloon artists. Lehigh Valley Martial Arts and Active Learning Centers will be hosting the children's activities. Funk, Yergey & Triple Sun Spirits will be on-site serving alcohol.

During the course of the event, our local businesses will be participating in the Scarecrow Trail, sponsored by New Tripoli Bank, for families to stop in and pick up some type of giveaway, kids activity, coupon, trinket, etc. This aspect of the event is FREE to participate. You can pick up a passport at the Chamber's Informational Tent on the day of the event or at any of the participating businesses listed below leading up to the event. The purpose of this is to get foot traffic into our businesses to help give exposure and increase sales.
