Event Description: John McGlade, CEO of Air Products will be honored for his commitment to career and technical education. The event will be held at the ArtsQuest Center on the SteelStacks Campus. Breakfast will be served at 7:45 AM. Program will begin at 8:05 AM.

Mr. McGlade was born in Bethlehem, studied at Bethlehem Area Vocational Technical School, earned a B.S. and M.B.A. from Lehigh University and then joined Air Products. Mr. McGlade was also last year’s National SkillsUSA CEO Champion of the Year.

Allana Karo, Ariel Karo, and Timothy Hofstetter, from Bethlehem Area Vocational Technical School, will present their national gold medal community service project.
 
Theodore Kourpas and Nicole Mautino, engineering students from Bethlehem AVTS who spent time with Mr. McGlade, will introduce him.

The SkillsUSA Council is a partnership of five area career & technical schools and 93 local employers and professional associations in Lehigh, Northampton, Monroe and Upper Bucks counties. It is the ONLY local partnership of its kind in the nation. The organization provides educational programs for students to improve their employability skills. It also builds and reinforces self-confidence, positive work attitudes, leadership, and communication skills.
