Event Description: The Eastern PA Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals will present Alice Anne Miller and Joan Miller Moran with the Distinguished Lifetime Achievement Award at the National Philanthropy Day® (NPD) Awards breakfast on Wednesday November 14, 8:00 a.m. at DeSales University in Center Valley. More than 350 people are expected to attend the NPD breakfast, which recognizes individuals, and organizations for their contributions to charities and causes in the Lehigh Valley Region. Bernie Story, Executive Director of the Lehigh Valley Community Foundation, will serve as emcee. “Alice Anne and Joan’s philanthropic efforts have benefited countless Lehigh Valley residents,” said Barbara Ann Shotwell, board president. “They have generously served the community through their support of numerous causes, including health care, hunger relief, early childhood development, higher education, and the arts. We are honored to pay tribute to them for all they have done and continue to do.” Other 2012 award recipients include: Rev. Dr. Douglas Caldwell - Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser; PNC Bank - Outstanding Corporation; Greater Lehigh Valley Auto Dealer Association - Outstanding Fundraising Group; Outstanding Foundation - Julius and Kathryn Hommer Foundation; Bethlehem Catholic Squires - Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy; Charles and Ruth Marcon - Outstanding Philanthropists; and Rachel Osborn, CFRE - Outstanding Fundraising Executive. Tickets are $35 through October 5; $40 between October 5 and 10; and $45 after November 5.
