Event Description: The Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community brings together 25 local nonprofit organizations that deliver vital health and human service programs in our community. While there is no registration fee, walkers are encourage to raise funds for and donate to the organization of their choice. Highmark Blue Shield underwrites the cost of the walk, so 100% of the money raised goes directly to benefit the organization(s) you choose. Register/donate online at www.walkforahealthycommunity.org - click on Bethlehem. Registration at the event starts at 7:45 a.m. The 5K Walk is at 9am and the one-mile fun walk starts at 9:15 a.m. The agency posting this event entry is Third Street Alliance for Women and Children, and hopes you'll choose to support them. The Alliance provides shelter for homeless women and their children, compassionate adult day services, and child care in The Learning Center. Learn more about them at www.ThirdStreetAlliance.org.
