Event Description: 273 years of history. 25 mysterious spirits. 12 haunting locations. 6 years of sharing stories. 1 original Historic Haunts of Downtown Bethlehem Ghost Tour. Don’t be afraid to join the thousands of guests who have experienced the Moravian Book Shop’s Historic Haunts of Downtown Bethlehem Ghost Tours. With only a candle to light your way through the darkened streets, and a knowledgeable guide to lead you through history, you will experience the past and the paranormal of the gorgeous and (evidently) ghost-filled Historic District of Bethlehem. Fact or Folklore? We’ll let you decide! Tours begin and end in the country’s oldest book shop, where ghosts may linger outside of the books as well as in them. The fragrant autumn air and falling leaves of October immediately set the stage for a frightfully fun excursion, beginning with tales of soldiers who continue to guard their old army hospital, to spirits from the golden age of Steel in Bethlehem, up to the present day mysteries of the Moravian Book Shop. Tours run every Friday and Saturday evening throughout October, as well as some Wednesday and Thursday nights. Special Midnight tours are scheduled for Halloween Night, October 31st, and November 1st. Private tours are available by special arrangement. Walk-ins are always welcome but we highly recommend reservations due to the high volume of ghosts…er, guests! Call Moravian Book Shop at 610-866-5481 for additional information.
