The Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts (Charter Arts) is an audition-based, public charter high school where students major in theater, dance, vocal music, instrumental music, visual art, literary arts or figure skating. The school offers a rigorous academic approach to learning combined with an extraordinary arts education and is one of the most respected high schools for the arts in the nation. The school was recently ranked, according to the Pennsylvania School Performance Profile listings, as the highest scoring charter high school, grades 9-12, in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Close to 500 students from over forty school districts across eastern Pennsylvania travel into Bethlehem each day to attend the school.
After twelve years in its current location on E. Broad Street in Bethlehem, Charter Arts will be moving to its new school facility, located at 321 E. Third Street in the heart of the arts and cultural district of south Bethlehem, for the start of the 2015/2016 school year.
Auditions for the 2015/2016 school year will be held in February 2015. For more information, visit www.CharterArts.org or call 610-868-2971.
