The Lehigh Valley Rose Society was originally founded in October 1947 and operated until around November 2002. It was reorganized in April 2020.
LVRS exists to encourage amateur and professional rose culture; to provide rose horticulture education for LVRS members and for the public; to increase the general understanding of and interest in all aspects of roses, including but not limited to the history of roses, hybridization, growing, exhibiting, artistic designing and judging, research, and thereby to improve the standard of excellence of the rose for all people; to record, publish and establish priority on rose cultivar names, and rose cultivar ratings.
We host demonstrations on rose care, create YouTube video tutorials, organize rose garden tours, and host a judged annual rose show. Our members enjoy social events throughout the year as well as discounts locally and nationally on gardening related services and products
