Friends of the Bethlehem Mounted Police

The Friends of the Bethlehem Mounted Police is a non-profit corporation (501c3) whose mission is to help fund and promote the Bethlehem Mounted Unit.

The Bethlehem Police Department’s Mounted Patrol Unit has recently been restored to downtown Bethlehem after a 63-year hiatus. The patrol includes Captain David Kravatz; Officers Michael Leaser, Timothy Brooks, Jon Buskirk with Gretchen Kraemer as back-up rider; and their mounts, George, Raven and Pharaoh, respectively. George is a Percheron-Morgan cross, Raven is a Friesian-Quarter Horse cross, and Pharaoh is an American Quarter Horse.

The MPU's base is at Burnside Plantation, an historic site for the City of Bethlehem, provided under the auspices of the Historic Bethlehem Partnership and Lehigh County.
